I'm also in the eastern time zone.  Have you ever thought about having alternating times every few days?  Such as evenings sometimes, afternoons sometimes, and mornings sometimes?  You might be pleasantly surprised when new batches of people show up at different times of the day!

Kathleen, an alternating schedule is too difficult for everyone to keep up with :(  When we started the games, we did afternoon games for a while, but usually did not have adequate amount of players..  so we've found that mornings and nights are the best..
