I have had a request for prayers from one of our ALP members.  It truly broke my heart when I read  Laurie's request.  Laurie is a very special lady to take in all these abused and neglected animals.   Please read over her request to me and send up prayers for her, Sierra and the rest of her animals.

     I wanted to post a prayer request on your one Forum, but can't find where to post it. Just where to reply to other posts already there.

     I take in abused and neglected animals and rehabilitate them and find them new loving homes. If within a year a new home isn't found then they stay part of my family forever.

     Well I have a Miniature Siberian Husky named Sierra. She was left on my doorstep at my old house quite a few years ago. Scared to death, afraid of everyone and especially of water. She didn't even know how to play.

     About 2 years ago she got Diabetes. She gets insulin shots daily and special food. She had 3 lumps removed about a month ago, 1 on her neck, 1 on her chest and 1 on her stomach. Everything seemed fine until this week. She has 2 hard lumps forming where her surgery was. Her skin has broken open and it looks like muscle tissue is growing out of the lumps. I took her back to the vets a few times now for tests. I was just told this weekend that it is cancer and spreading fast.

     SO far she is still eating normal and doesn't seem to be in pain or anything. I would like a prayer request for her to pass on to heaven in peace at home without any pain. She hates being away from the house. She hates being at the vets. I pray to God that she passes away in her sleep in her bed next to me where she sleeps every night.

     I have been through cancer with another Sibe. He had bloody convulsions that came out of no-where, while I was holding his head in my lap. That image will be in my mind forever. I don't want the same for Sierra.

     I have another Dog, A Sheltie/American Eskimo mix named Foxy who has Seizers. She has been doing very well lately. Also a Main Coon cat named Mandarin who is on special food due to getting crystals in his Urinary stream. A rat that is getting Tumors that I might be putting down soon if the tumors grow any bigger or makes it hard for her to walk and have a normal life.

     Most of my income go towards my Critter Family. I take them in out of love and give them the best life that I can full of love and devotion. So please Pray for Sierra to go peacefully onto her next life.
