Hi Bill, I have read all the posts here and would like to leave a couple of comments. First, you do not have 456 friends. I estimate that you have about 160. Go to your friends list and you will find that many have not been on line for months. When I reached 1,000 I took the back 200 off and then built up my numbers again. I could take another 200 off. About those who seem to ruin Adlandpro by overposting the same, ads, over and over. Yes I have watched such behavior and they only hurt themselves not those like you who post in a rationale way. Click on the pop ups some time and you will be shocked first but then it will bring laughs when you see what is happening. Do not empower these people who misuse this great community and its tools. They are not hurting you or your reputition. So you have people leave your forum, it is not personal. Not everyone wishes to receive e-mails. They too get tired of the same reteric. I had a forum in which the title was "Give me a big hug and kiss good-bye". Had the same response you have experience here.....300 visits. When I returned 14, people welcomed me back. While I was gone for 8 weeks, did that many friends really leave Adlandpro. Don't think so. Everyone needs a break now and then as this place takes on a life of its own. You are not alone. I know for a fact that we have many observers. I do look forward to your next forum and will post if I can add something of value to the forum.

Hi Mary,

How right you are about the number of friends being an inaccurate figure.

If management cleaned up the database and removed all those that had not been active for lets say a year we might get a more accurate picture. The member count as it is, is very misleading to put it politely.

Naturally that won’t happen, as that would reduce the total members count and then it would not look so good would it.

As for a true friends count I think it is a lot less than you estimate, you see the only reason in many cases that people invite others to be friends is to send their ads to them. They think that if you are on their friends list it then gives them carte blanche  to spam the crap out of you through the private message system.

I agree, Ive been here now 3  months, and notice that the average thread is read only  twice. People have no interest in others threads only in plastering theirs every where. Even when they message you to add as friends, there it is , their damn ad . Ive not had any business from this site at all. No one goes to look at the Ads. This site is a complete waste of time.

Hi Bill, Glad to see this forum thread is still active. Ashley you have to give it more time to build your presence. Ignore the undesireable forums and look for some quality. I have not been here for several days, because I have been busy with my team. I do give Adlandpro credit for allowing me to make business relationships. But it is also disturbing to see the abuses. Unforuately what you see the most of becomes the imitated behavior for several new people. So the problem compounds. Bill, I may have found my business base here but it has become apparent that I can't spend the time here I formerly did. My forum threads go virtualy unvisited, spammed, and liter-graphiced to death. The googled forum "Shared Ideas......" has had to be turned into a moderated forum. So much of what I tried to create was to assist others in their business ventures. It doesn't work. Most recently I asked for people to share what was good about 2007 and did they make their goals. To me that was the perfect opportunity to promote their successful business. Couldn't people make some intelligent choices abut business if they heard about success. When I had 450 on my friends list, I had great forum participation, now I have 1600 active names on my list and they could care less about posting. You guessed it, it became the place to throw up ads. That tells no one about success. How hard is it tell that you made your goals. That you have a downline making a living from your venture. I don't want to hear that a person COULD make $129,000 a month. We could enjoy hearing someone say I am able to support my family with my present business. Times have changed drastically here with all the new tools. Recently someone asked for ideas about their new blog. I couldn't give my opinion as the person said they don't want me to post on their forums. However she had to ask 10 times for people to come look at her blog. If everyone ignored the first request, what did the other 9 do? That clearly explains what has happened here in this once nice community.
