Re: WHAT CAN ADLANDPRO MEMBERS DO TO HELP PEOPLE STAY LONGER

Hello Carla,

Thank you for your thought provoking topic.  I've been away much of the time from ALP since half way through July and all of August.  I can't begin to tell you how much I've missed it!

There are times when the amount of e-mails gets frustrating as well as feeling obligated to different friends and forums.  Hitting delete is getting easier and I have learned to say, "I did my best today."

There are many friends I would like to know better and many forums I would love to visit, but time is limited and so far hasn't allowed me the luxury of doing all I would like to.

Sincerely,

Terry

I used to have much more time to visit forums.  Now I am bombarded with Adland emails.  I spend my time deleting most Adland emails.

Hi Carla,

It's a good question, but I don't know the answer.

If someone wants to "leave" Adland, then they probably have their reasons.  The main one being that they aren't getting what they want to get out of it.  This may be due to unrealistic expectations regarding what a place like Adland is all about.

Yes, there's a lot of spam.  I doubt that this would be the main issue though.  It's pretty easy to press the delete button.

The one's that get to me are the ones that send me a personal email about joining something that even a quick look at my profile would have told them that I'm already a member.

Overall, it's a good site with plenty of ways to advertise and network.  It may not be as sexy as some of the newer sites but it is well put together.

Hello Compassionate Carla!
AdlandPro is a little portrait of life in general, isn't it? People come and people go. Some come in because they see a chance to expoit the numbers and other come because it is a genuine opportunity to get to know more about other places and how other people live.
Whatever a person's reason is, we are all grown ups and our behavior online can be no different than it is offline.
Some people would not be happy if one million dollars were placed in their lap-they would spend it all and be angry because it ran out!

I try to get to know others more often.  We should be able to spam a little here, too.  But we need to remember that their are real people out there as well.  I guess we can Spam a little less.  And try to be more friendly.

I am ok with the Spam.  Sometimes I get tired of it, but isn't that's what Adlanpro is for?  We joined Adlandpro to advertise and make friends.

Have a great day!
