Great thoughts and photo's Thomas. Actually, I have visited 2 of those spots in my first retirement days. I stood right in front of the captiol and enjoyed seeing it from a distance on Penn. Ave. while I spent 3 weeks in Washington. Yes, I spent 5 weeks in the woods like your first photo. Now I will have to work on the other 2. Looks like I need to head off to Hawaii but then that is not in my plans as of yet.
