Dave and Kathy,

I have had the utmost respect for the two of you so I am going to assume that you misunderstand the ABC game because you have not been a part of it.

I feel that I am a serious marketer and this is a great business community to work in.  This community however is also about making friends and relationship marketing.

I felt as you did when I first saw the amount of horsing around that goes on.  I decided to join it one night.  I have been on ever since.  It started because I wanted a chance at free advertising.  I continued because I work hard all day and Monica's little ABC game gives me a chance just to let loose with friends.

Yesterday for instance I mowed three 1 acre lawns that are my rentals, I loaded my 18 foot trailer with limbs cut at one of the houses, looked at three homes that we want to buy, checked on the one we just bought and put out flyers for my online business.  I came home exhausted!  I got online to post some ads(not to Adland)  checked Adland and saw the game.

We laughed so hard, we split a seam.  Many of the ABC gang(not all) are in my downline and upline, we get to see the human side of eachother and we work better as a team.

Please think about what you say when it is not something you have experienced.

Respectfully,

Katheryn,
Serious Marketer

Hi Dave,

I just happened to see this forum pop up and thought I would check and see what you are up to.  Nice to see you!  Looks like we have a bit of heat starting here.

I sure understand your frustration with free members for sure.  A lot of people get upset with DirectMatches because we offer free advertising but then when they are asked to upgrade to use the my mail system they get really upset.  The thing is DirectMatches is free except for the use of the my mail (internal mailing) which is how they make money plus of course upgrades.  What they do not understand is that a business has to make money somehow to stay in business.  You can post a free business profile in DirectMatches, use the classifieds, post events etc and as long as you log in once a month you can stay free.

I know Adland Pro stays in business because they make money off people who buy advertising or upgrade.  Match.com charges a fee after their trial period.  My Space is free to its members because they have paid advertisers in there and I might add some big advertisers.

DirectMatches also offers a great compansation plan to those who do it as a business like me.  It is also the original business & social network or the first to offer a compansation plan for bringing in others.  So many copy cats out there now.  So I understand your frustrations.

Hey, about the game.  It breaks up the business atmosphere and gives us a bit of fun here.  You know what they say "All work and no play, makes for a dull person."  I have been to Monica's game myself and found it to be a lot of fun.  Nothing wrong with having a little fun.

Many Blessings,
Marion

I jumped into the game a time or three. I think I won once, but I never did get around to figureing out what I had won.   :-)

Just as well, I guess, 'cause I may not have been playing by the rules. Oops.

I jumped  in again after that - I was BRILLIANT - UNSTOPPABLE - I DAZZLED them with my lightening fast moves - and THEN.....

....I found out you can't post twice in a row.  Oops.

But, I had fun!

Hey, Katheryn, sounds like you are into REI.... cruise on by http://rei-resource.com/forum when you have some time.

    Bruce,

Thank you for the link.  We are lucky enough to have a mentor/investor who is walking us through all the steps.  I am always in for more information so the link will come in handy.

AS for Monicas game, I broke the rules also and even had my post deleted.  Monica is pretty forgiving and let me back on!

Dave,

I have been on your free traffic exchange for about a year.  I find that it has less viruses than say, stormpay's traffic exchange.  I appreciate that it is free!

Hi Jenny,

It's always a pleasure to be able to spend some time with my online friends.  Sometimes, though, my time just disappears!

Yes, the west is in trouble, and it's a home grown problem;  we have spent far too much time making excuses for bad behaviour and too little time calling people to account.

The good news is (or a bad shock for some), that it will eventually come full circle.  No society can survive when too many people are sitting around unproductively waiting to be served.

Perhaps we just need to quietly wait...

God bless,

Dave
