Hello all This Nigerian scam thing is as old as the hills it got started at least 15 years ago that I know of with good old snail mail. Then the internet came along and the scam shows up in all sorts of different ways. I think there is something on the FBI site. The Nigerians are even here in Adland and if you were to go to one of the Yahoo business chat rooms it would not take long for one of them to IM you. You would think that people would not be so stupid to fall for it but greed plays a big part but because this is on the increase it follows that there are stupid people about, plus the fact that there are about 160,000 new people a day join the net theres always a good supply, as there is for all of us Theres a thing on ICQ thats been going round but I think only if you outside the US which is supposed to be working for Western Union but in fact is a money laundering thing Whilst this is not what you might call a scam but its probably worse cos you can very easily end up in prison Steve

Hi Kenneth: Interesting little mouse trick on your site. And yes, scams are really prevlant today on the net. If those scam artist would put forward as much effort to promote a real business as they do the scams, I believe they wouldn't need to work so hard, or risk enjoying a vacation at the "cross bar hotel". It seems that PayPal is the victim of many Phishing expeditions lately, I can't open any of my mail addresses without finding a Phishing expedition concerning them. Hopefully no one is falling for them. I forward all those emails intact including the headers to PayPals spoof department, hopefully they are tracking down the perpertrators, and will reward them with the vacation they so rightly deserve.
