Re: Anyone up for some Creepy Crawlies?!

Neat pictures, John!  Except for the Brown Recluse, Black Widow and Tarantula; most spiders are very important to us.  The eat many insects, protect a lot of plants, and some are quite beautiful.  I love the garden spiders (will post picture sometime) and flower spiders.  We have lots of what I call Ghost spiders in this old house, been here lots longer than people, I am sure.  They catch a lot of insects but I hate they also catch DUST, have to keep them down and let them rebuild every so often.

Now, Pauline is really screaming, she can just see you coming in for more spider pictures!!

Thanks,

Sara

Hey Sara, John, and friends,

heres a pic taken in Jan when I went on an outreach to a remote village,  this is a deadly scorpian, lethal as hell !!! many villagers go into the forest to collect dry wood for fuel and then get bitten by this and if they are not quick enough to get the antidote..they die.

You can see how scared I was from the distance I took the pick.

Click on the pic; to see enlarged version.

have fun all

Hi Pauline,

that is a huge scorpion.... I didn't know there were big black scorpions like that one! Make sure you were heavy boots that lace up high on your legs and have your trousers tucked into them!

Glad to see you all here!

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Hey Pauline, what a shot. I would love to take a picture of a live scorpion without getting stung. Definitely looks deadly!
