Hi Carla

I think this is a great thing you are doing. I had a brother in Vietnam, and I also had a brother in this war also, who is now home safe.  So I know how the families of our guys and girls over there feel.  Bless you for doing this.

I have found a poem, I ran across about a month ago, while searching for, who know's what, and I'd like to post it here.  I think it fits.

                             My Son

Here is his little cambric frock
That I laid by in lavender so sweet,
And here his tiny shoe and sock
I made with loving care for his dear feet.

I fold the frock across my breast,
And in imagination, ah, my sweet,
Once more I hush my babe to rest,
And once again I warm those little feet.

Where do those strong young feet now stand?
In flooded trench, half numb to cold or pain,
Or marching through the desert sand
To some dread place that they may never gain.

God guide him and his men to-day!
Though death may lurk in any tree or hill,
His brave young spirit is their stay,
Trusting in that they'll follow where he will.

They love him for his tender heart
When poverty or sorrow asks his aid,
But he must see each do his part -
Of cowardice alone is he afraid.

I ask no honours on the field,
That other men have won as brave as he -
I only pray that God may shield
My son, and bring him safely back to me!

                              Ada Tyrrell

God Bless all our friends and family and loved ones in this war.

    Bj

HELLO BJ,
No problem at all :) My son is in IRAQ and my daughter in law is home by herself with her daughter and one child on the way. The wives deserve our thanks and prayers also.
God bless you :)
Carla ;)

God Bless our Veterans!

Happy Memorial Day!

It is the VETERAN , not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN , not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN , not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN , not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN , not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN ,
who salutes the Flag,

Blessings to all,  Jill
