Flamadiddles and Paradiddles, Flam Mills and the long roll. Ratamaque and ruffadiddles is what drumming is all about. All good for snare drumming but how to perform a trill on a marimba is the real question. Thanks to both of you. Kenneth R Sword Jr

Hey Kenneth! You are AWESOME! I, too admire you for following your dream!!! It is something I try to instill in my own children...I have a son on his way to Nashville to give it a try!!! Music makes the world go round! But my only claim to fame is that Bob Seger and I were born on the same day in the same year! Oh, wait a minute...I did sing with the Les Brown Band, many years ago! Yes, I agree with Beverly...you must have a whole bunch of stories to tell...well, let's hear them! Have a super-fantastic day! Your friend in Oregon, Julia "The Ink Lady"

Julia, You've been hiding something, girl. "Oh, wait a minute...I did sing with the Les Brown Band, many years ago!" Was that with Sr. or Jr or both? Girl got Swing! If I remember, Jr's band is the Band of Renown, right? Damn, girl. Don't mean to cuss. But you are a Jazzer! Doris Day, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, All the cool cats! So, now who got stories? I envy you, in a good way. I auditioned once for Maynard Ferguson's Band. At the start of Big Bop Nouuveau era for him. College kid from Washington State got the drummer's seat. Think that was 1989. We will cross paths one day for sure. Bless you. Kenneth R Sword Jr

Wow Kenneth That brings back memories. Back in that time I was with Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. lol. My brother and I were promoters for many of the major clubs in Mahattan. like the Limelight, China Club. We did the 1989 new years eve party in Nirvana's at 1 Time Square Plaza where I hired Spencer Davis to proform. I hired Bow Didley on the oldies boat in the South Street Seaport. I met Bruce Springsteen when he came to hire my friends horn section to go on tour. I sat down with Phoebe Snow who came along with him. We hung out with the roadees from Iron Maiden who wanted to take us on tour with them. I had to decline because I didn't think I could stay wrecked for that long. lol
