Hello again all,

Hmmmmm... I wonder what that person's previous employment was that said "Let me expose you". Oh no I didn't. LOL.

Well ... we all can laugh a little.

Hi Norm, I'm always happy to put in a plug for a friend. I'm sorry you're having trouble with blacklists. It looks like Kenneth has explained the possibilities quite well. I've run into the same challenge where a domain I'm a user of has been blacklisted. When you're on a multi user domain, it can happen. It's getting so crazy that a local ISP in Prince Rupert rejected an email from my daughter to her aunty because MY local ISP was blacklisted by theirs. Apparently someone using this ISP has been spamming and got the whole system blacklisted on a kind of universal blacklist system. And yes, it can be done mischievously. If a site is reported enough times, it gets blacklisted. It's actually quite a terrible system, and has a lot of other flaws, as well. All I can say is, "Oh well..." This is one of the challenges (and realities) of online business that we need to work around. God bless, Dave

Hi Kenneth, Thanks for dropping by. You remind me of me - you're one of a few who reads all of the posts on a thread (if they warrant the effort!) :-) You said the keywords 'becoming a member'. That means you were to have read and agreed to the Terms of Service, not join and then make up the rules as you go. Bad behavior, such as Spam, is getting way out of hand. If a brick and mortar didn't follow certain business codes within their city or town they would be shut down in a heartbeat. I think that many who sign up as a member for anything often tend to click the TOS checkbox without reading them. A quick reading of the TOS of Adlandpro clearly shows that a certain amount of liberality is being practiced here on this community that is, at least, teetering on the ragged edge of breaking the rules. In the end, the person most harmed by sending out too many advertising messages or by posting irrelevant messages is the person doing it. As Norm pointed out, they are harming their own reputation. God bless, Dave

Hi Trina, Wow! Now there's a rant! :-) I think there is a lot of confusion here on Adlandpro with what constitutes spam. Technically, by being a member of this community, we have all agreed to receive commercial messages from other members. That means that the messages we receive through this community are technically not spam. One of the main definitions of spam is mail sent to someone who has not agreed to receive it. Under the TOS of Adlandpro, posting off topic messages on someone else's forum IS spam. Furthermore, under the TOS, if someone sends you commercial messages via the Adlandpro PM system and you ask them not to send you any more, they are in violation of the TOS if they do. The bottom line is, as you said, "You turn more people off by slamming them with ads, than you will ever recruit through this method. There is a reason I don't spam. It is unprofessional, and wrong." I hope those who send out ads everywhere with virtually no results take heed. God bless, Dave
