Thanks so much for this very interesting and inspiring story...I truly enjoyed reading it. I have heard of Maynard before, but had never read anything about him before. I am a fan of jazz as well, so that is why I have heard of him.

I can see how this gentleman would be a very big inspiration to you and others that looked up to him. You talked about "Word of Mouth" advertising, which is still the best form of advertising by the way, is what kept him in the limelight so to speak.

People do not necessarily have to know how to do any marketing online, as long as they know how to promote themselves in sme sort of way. He obviuosly knew how to do that through word of mouth advertising.
