Dear Branka,

Its easy to tell you are a wonderful dream weaver!  Your thoughts and words are powerful.  Your analogy of the brain to the IBM is marvelous.

"So, we can repeat, sing or write our positive intentions a day and night, but if our program `is not IBM compatible....` nothing positive should occur."

Where did you study to become a dreamer and dream weaver?

Thank you for the wishes to manifest my dreams.  I shall do that and I wish the same for you.

Sincerely,

Terry

Hello Joe,

Thank you for joining in our discussion.  I'm guessing by now most of us have either watched the movie or read the book "The Secret."  I'm in the process of reading it.  I'd love to take a day and finish it, but doing it this way, I can savour the words!

I wasn't aware that there was a movie prior to it.

I believed in the Law of Attraction long before the book or movie.  Reading it just reinforces what I already believed.

I do look forward to learning the techniques they use to getting what you want though!

Sincerely,

Terry

Hello Carol,

Thank you for visiting and posting your thoughts.  That's an interesting way to think about sharing your dreams.

"I think that unless you have a life partner, dreams should be dreamt alone. If you share your dreams they weaken. Just like you share problems to weaken them."

I understand what you mean though.  I also believe it makes a difference who you share your dreams with.  I believe as a TEAM, to dream together would reinforce rather than weaken them.

Sincerely,

Terry

Hi Terry, Judy, Kathy, Carol, Branka, Joe, Evalyn and Diane,

What a discussion I have been missing.  One day, I suppose the notification problem will be fixed and all will be well again.  :)  In the mean time, I will just have to use the "recent" post button.

I love these group discussions because it is so interesting to see what others think and believe.  This is how each of us discerns our own beliefs.

 ~~~ a little story ~~~
I woke up one day and decided I wanted to be an astronaut.   I was not sure for years where that dream came from.  Then when the movie Apollo 13 came out, I quickly remembered where it came from.  I was a young boy when the real Apollo 13 landed on the moon.  I remember hearing Neil Armstrong's famous quote over the radio, "One small step for man.... one giant leap for mankind".  I wanted to be part of that so bad!!!!
When I could, I attempted to enlist in the Air Force to start my climb to the moon.  Well, I never made it to the moon much less make it to the flight simulators due to my sinus problems.  But, many other great adventures came into my life because of that step I took towards a dream.  The amazing thing was that I took a step and kept on moving towards that goal for many years no matter what tried to block it.
I'm now above the age of being accepted as an astronaut.  Is my dream over?  No!  There are people right now planning and plotting to put private space craft and resorts on the moon this day.  I live where they are going to build one of the space ports.  I didn't plan all of this, it seems to be just fitting in as part of a dream coming true.  It is still possible!
~~~

Over the past few years working with people, I have come to realize that many do not know how to dream.  It is usually connected to a lack of belief that anything great can happen in their lives.  That is one thing that can make me cry...  when I look into someone's eyes and cannot find that glitter of hope.

When someone doesn't have or cannot figure out how to have a dream, they need someone to dream for them.  When I dream with someone who has lost hope, it is like trying to start a fire from rubbing sticks together.  It takes time.  It is difficult.  There is lots of resistance and factors working against me.  But, I have learned that success will come eventually.  A success that could ignite a spark that will grow with the heat of passion to possible invent a micracle cure for some deadly disease or solve a major problem in this world or possible cause world peace.  I also believe that it could lead to a family suddenly having enough money to eliminate the monthly bill paying stress OR have enough money to send a child to college OR make it possible for a son or daugther to help their aging parents financially OR ... there are so many things that can change in this world just by helping others catch a dream.

Okay... I apologize for this long post!  Listening to others talk about dreaming is of great interest to me.   Thank you.
