Terry
I'm not sure how- but I missed this thread - glad you mentioned it in Sam's Article of Virtue ....
I spent the last half hour plus reading it all.... Remined me of many things in my life over the last few years...
I believe much like what Mandela said
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light , not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who are we to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?. Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people wont feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us but is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Often we simply DO not allow ourselves to be blessed with achieving our goals as for some reason we sabatage our progress.... I've done that myself - more than once too...LOL
This train of thought reminded me of a poem I wrote a few years back when I was "learning" what true unconditional love really is.... and to also love myself unconditionally.... I wrote the poem below at that time.
Strength of Heart -
It takes incredible strength to face life head on. To do ones job, ones duties and obligations till gone.
But the hardest of all is to face Gods test. It should be easy but it’s harder than the rest.
What is this test that is so dam tough? It is the test of the heart and the road seems rough.
The heart is so hard – don’t ask me why, but it shuts love out. It says love is not real, magic and peace are not what life’s about.
Yet Gods love is given without wrapping – a perfect gift! It does magic, puts a smile on a face and with peace gives life a lift.
But the promises of God are given, only to those with the strong heart. So if Love knocks – "Know" that it is a gift from him, right from the start.
Remember the strength required to open the hearts door; Takes more strength and courage than ones job, duties and more.
So use all your strength of courage and will – then just let go. Open your heart door wide and let love, magic and peace just flow.
A strong heart is a soft heart and open wide to receive. A strong heart is a soft heart if "in love" you believe.
