Hello Carla!

Amelia was a lady who knew what she wanted and got it.  We all have the same opportunity.  We just need to follow our dream and not let anyone pull us down.

Hugs!

Luella and John

Hi Luella and John!

Amelia Earhart is a great choice for you Woman of Courage honor.  She was one of my father's idols as someone who set her sites and never lost the focus and her eye on the prize.  My Dad was a pilot, so it was a natural infatuation for him

I especially love the quote: "When they fail, their failure must be but a challenge to others."

She was brave and endured much as a woman in a field that was dominated by men.  It's not as bad as it was in her day, but woman are still ridiculed in many "male" professions.  I admire them for having the fortitude to just keep on keepin' on!

Thanks for honoring her.

Judy

Hello Luella,

I enjoyed this weeks choice fo Women of Courage.

I had heard of Amelia and enjoyed reading more of
her bio before she got her pilots licence and became
world history.

She was an inspiration to women that flying, engines, vehicles and other men's professions could be done by women and be done well, and leave a legacy for men
and women as encouragement

Without these advertureous people before us we would
not be enjoying life as we know it.

Kind regards
Amanda
