Re: Opinions Needed. Why are people reluctant to post on Adlandpro forums

Maybe cause they feel they may get deleted, like I do remember posting to this forum, but don't see it now.

Hello B.J

There are several different reasons for posts not showig up on a forum. This. like all of my forums, is not a moderated forum. I always allow people to speak freely and openly in all of my forums. I can assure you that I did not delete your post or anyone elses.

If your post was deleted you would have received a notification explaining the reason for the deletion. Occasionally, I delete one of my own posts if it didn't copy right or something but I would never delete another persons post unless it was very abusive and offended people.

Sincerly, Bill

I welcome you to post again if you like but I did not delete your post.

Sincerly, Bill

Hello Jenny

Thanks for your views on this. I understand what you mean about the excessive amount of forum notifications. It can be a bit overwhelming. However, isn't that what networking is all about. Making as many contacts as you can and getting as much exposure as possible. this is especially true if you are an active marketer.

I don't even send out ads. I just list my current business op in my signature line.

Regarding all of the repetitive threads, This is a problem. I really prefer that people do not open new threads on my forums unless they check with me first. It isn't nessesry to have a new thread every time someone wants to say somethng. My two forums have been running for nearly 2 years and I have nearly 100 threads and many of them are repetitive. I hate to delete any though because there is always some important information on each of them so I really don't know what to do about that.

To be honest with you, I think there are too many of the awards type forums. People seem to be more interested in getting in the limelight than they are about posting a truly good forum. The competitive factor seems to bring out the worst in some people too , if you know what I mean. Oh well, Thank you everybody for all the great ideas and for taking the time to let us know how you feel.

Hi, Bill and Jenny, This aspect of 'numbers' is one I have raised several times before. Has anybody actually looked at the deliberate distortion in the numbers? No matter how many and no matter how valuable each post may be, you can only count ALL your posts in one forum as 1. If a good discourse is created and a lot of really interesting discussion results, it is possible that you could post 10, 20, 30 or even more times but only be credited with a single post. The recorded number of posts is absolutely meaningless. The Old Coot
