Hi Robert glad you brought the subject up. I have never seen the page that Kathleen has pointed out to us. It could be useful information to someone who wants to have these people on their friends list. Also I was approached with a deal once that quoted my posting position as if it qualified me for something. I wondered how she figured out that I was in the top xxxxx of posters. "Hi" and "Thanks for the invite" are quick to post and net no good returns. It would be better to find a topic and join in the conversation. Posting appropriately to the subject tells others who read that you have ability to communicate and the desire to interact. Post and run people are not a popular item in my book.....is that someone you would like to network with?

Thank you for your thoughts, Mary.

I tend to be a "Hi" and "Thanks for the invite" type of poster.  I often have something to say in regards to the topic, but tend to feel rushed to make longer comments.

I mostly keep my communication skills to communicating one on one with my friends rather than through posting.

Sincerely,

Terry

Hi Terry/Robert,

I have found out that if you post with alot of keywords the spiders from search will crawl the forum more often and with more recognition. Therefore those that are posting and using keywords while posting are being seen in the engines more. Also seeing your signature URL in the forum.Using good content will boost your forums in the search also.So keep posting with keywords and with good content leaving your URL signature in tact.

Hello Lisa,

There is a lot of information about spiders and content out there in cyberspace.

A few months ago, I had no idea that whatever you say in forums can be picked up by the search engines.  Almost scary when you think about it.  Great for business though!

Sincerely,

Terry

HI Mary

I have heard that before about using keywords to get your site in search engines by making post at active sites that get alot of taffic

I used to own a poker site and I put alot of articles on http://www.goarticle.com and post to alot of fourms with my articles.

And I have to say a was getting around 50000 hits a month from this alone
