Things here are peaceful at the moment. Calm befor the storm. They are giving warnings out for Monday at the moment. It is going to be very hot and windy. Im hoping it will not be as bad as it was on that Saterday when the fires started. We have a very long haul in front of us. I hope i never see anything like this again.

I went for a walk around my garden befor and i have just about lost everything in it.

Our water supply is very low, the lowest it has every been. The fires havent helped either. All the catchment areas have been contaminated by the fires and they have been working around the clock to try and prevent it from getting any worse. We still have 5 fires out of control which 2 are near to were i live.

My son has been carting hay for the animals up in the bush fire areas. It is so sad to see all the animals suffering.

Thanks for the update ! Our friend has a third degree sprain so we've been helping him out lately. I haven't been online as much for that reason. I got a prayer request and don't like forwards but I will copy it here.

Hi Carla,

I am back again for continued prayers for my friend in Australia.  Here is the update:

Things here are quiet at the moment. 4 fires are still out of control and 2 are not to far away from me. How i wish this night mare was over. It is going to take many years to get over and then for some i dont think they will ever recover. Next week things are going to hot up as they are forecasting hot weather again. They have already put us on high alert again.

We had a lucky escape last week when son  in his car was doing wheelies and his brakes caught on fire and started a grass fire.  We were so lucky as it was at the back and side of a gas/petrol station. Thankfully they got it out very quickly or we wouldnt be here.

Myrna thankyou so much for being there for me listening to me when i was very down. You are such a special person and i hope our friendship will continue for a life time
