Hi,
I'm new here to AdlandPro and new to this forum. I've been growing some of my own herbs and spices for a couple of years.
I've great success with chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, peppermint and spearmint, basil. Chamomile is a very hearty herb and is easy to grow. You do have to be careful though; it will take over everything else. When it first comes up, you'll have to thin out the plants and just keep the best ones. I usually try to stay with three or four plants.
Lemon Balm is another easy grower and the leaves make a great tea.
Lavender is easy to grow too as is spearmint, peppermint and basil.
I have most of my herbs in a place where they get lots of sun. It gets pretty hot here in the summer, but the herbs seem to survive. We sometimes don't get that much rain during the summer months and yet they still keep going.
I use the lemon balm and chamomile in some of the skin care products I make. If you're interested, check out my website for more info.
God Bless,
Janice
