You guys are now Adland PI's!!

I almost never send a PM unless they sent me one first so, I would never figure it out! I'm also a cheap azz FREE member. I do have a couple of people that I have thought about trying to block their PM's that are ads. One person sends me about 3 a week. I now just send it back to them with one of my ads. That usually works & they take me off their list to PM but, not this one they must like my ads! lol! then you have the people that send you the ads that open in your email box - I never even open those, I just Delete. Most of those come from people that have no forums & don't even post on any other forums. I think if you don't want others to post their opinion about your business then you must have something to hide.

Free member is not equal to cheap azz.
You just have less options.

Never reply to ads with ads.
In the emailworld a spammer can successfully accuse you of
spamming if you do something like that. It doesn't work either.

If you should decide to block someone just make sure they
are off your friendslist first. Anything else is just silly.

Sorry, in my moment of rambling I confused you. The only time I send ads back is here in Adland in my PM box. I figure those people have no complaints about spam since they send it to me 1st. If they don't like it I guess they will tell me in another PM with another ad!! LOL! It is sad that when I see some names I just cringe. That is why they call this place AD LAND!

How do you respond to ads that come as a response to your ads?

If you are going to continue to reply to ads with ads
I suggest that you use a tracker for this scenario only.

How many zero clicks, zero signups and zero sales would
it take you to reconsider and spend time on something more useful?

Based on what you can read in this thread about what I have
done I really shouldn't open my mouth about wasting time, but..

I can't help myself.. ;)

If you cringe when you see a name: Do something about it.

I send the ads back not expecting to get any clicks - I just figure I already have their PM open (the one they sent me) so I copy & patse my ad to them. Yes, it could be time better spent. I always hope that they will get the idea that sending ads in PM's is not the way to go. I did have 1 guy that had been sending me ads & finally I sent one back to him - he wrote me & ask if I did that to make a point to him. Now he has stopped sending all the ads & is a very active poster in many forums & his business is doing better.

I know that some people will never learn - I've been called thick headed a few times!! Ok, more than a few! LOL!
