Re: Link Says [Send Me A Messege] NOT [Send Me An AD] ...

Thanks for the heads up, Kenneth... I didn't realize how much it bothered some people to receive a solicitation via send me a message.

What I don't get though is why someone would invite me to be friends but not want to hear what I have to say. Yes, I share something I am exited about with my friends, and I thought here was no different. Like one of the previous posters said, when I joined Adlandpro I agreed to recieve solicitations from other members. Yes, I also recieve daily several ads that way, and maybe I have too much time on my hands but it doesn't bother me. If I'm not interested I delete it. If I am interested I investigate. Simple? I think so.

I guess i will stick to forums and other ways of advertising.

If you ask me FORUMS take up much more space in my inbox than ads. And most of the forums I get are ads anyways, so whats the difference?

Truly though, I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Hi Kenneth, When you've been here for as long as you have... I think you forget that the first thing a new person gets besides all the wonderful invites... is promo from the same people who took the time to invite them... So... that's what they do in turn... use the send me a message to promo ... even Kenneth !! (smile) ;) I try to reply with a how are you and thanks... about the 3rd time.... I sometimes out and out tell them ... just like one of my favourite upline persons had to do with me! LOL that "my plate is full" or I'm not interested but would be glad to hear from you and I hope all is well with your family.... How's the weather? Anyway, Kenneth? How are you doing? Beth

Hi Elaine,

Yes you agreed to receive solicitations from other members, BUT sent by correct means.

What are correct means?

Direct Contact mails to your inbox from Those on your friends list.

Invitations to join forums from those on your friends list.

Forum notifications from the forums you have joined. Note Posting in a forum means you have joined it just as you can opt to click on the join forum if you want to follow it but not post in it.

If you use these methods then no one can complain.

Hi Ken,

Great post here for every user of Adlandpro tools. 'Cos of useless and eventless unsolicited messages, most of us does not see the need to check our message boxes anymore. I wish we'll try to adhere to this simple and civilized manner of using these tools properly to enhance a healthy community and more friendly networking.

Thanks for informing.

Well Ken

I have taken to pointing offenders to this thread with the simple reply

Please read this forum. followed by the link to here.

I think most have got the message, at least they did not come back to me except for one.

Yes there is always one has to be a smart a** isnt there, and yes its a member that has been here almost a year.

I responded by suggesting they also read Dave's "lets all break the rules thread".

Maybe that will wake them up and let them see that a lot of us are tired of people thinking they can do just as they please.
