Last week I read an article about all the spam. Some interesting points of the article is that a lot of it is coming from Russian sites. According to the article they have over 70,000 hijacked servers. The servers are grouped into 500 block sets so if you take one out at most you will get 499 others. The emails they send are graphics and each graphic is slightly modified to get past spam blockers. They have other hijacked computers feeding the servers email addresses which means every hijacked computer with your email address will result in an email.
At the time the aritcle was written the Russians were concentrating on pump-and-dump and penis enlargement. Of course it will only be a matter of time before they atart hocking other scams.
Over all the article was very informative and left me with the feeling the only protection I had was my delete button.
