Psalm 23,,, EXPLAINED

Psalm 23 - - EXPLAINED

This is an eye opener... Some probably never thought nor looked at this Psalm in this way... even though they have recited it over and over again.......

The Lord is my Shepherd

That's Relationship!

I shall not want

That's Supply!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.

That's Rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

That's Refreshment!

He restoreth my soul

That's Healing!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness.

That's Guidance!

For His name sake

That's Purpose!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.

That's Testing!

I will fear no evil.

That's Protection!

For Thou art with me

That's Faithfulness!

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me,

That's Discipline!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

That's Hope!

Thou anointest my head with oil,

That's Consecration!

My cup runneth over.

That's Abundance!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

That's Blessing!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord.

That's Security!

Forever

That's Eternity!

Face it, the Lord and I think you are special.

I thought this was pretty special, just like YOU!!!

What is most valuable is not what we have in our lives; but WHO we have in our lives.

Who is the Shepherd in your life?

Have a wonderful day!

Mike

In Perfect Sync

“Your Life And Everything In It - In Perfect Sync.”

I’m ready! Sign me up. Now!

Needless to say I was a little disappointed when I realized the ad was for a program on my computer that will keep all my calendar events, contacts, etc., together in a way that allows me to access it on any computer, anywhere, anytime. As much as I enjoy my computer and all the things it allows me to do at a mind-boggling speed, I would be more pleased to have my life and everything in it in perfect sync.

What would life be like if everything was in perfect sync?

There would be no stress, because the things that produce stress would not exist.

There would be no worries, because the things that cause us to be worried would have been taken care of.

There would be no sadness, because everything would be in perfect order and thus no reason for sadness.

There would be no regrets because everything would have gotten done in good order and at just the right time.

There would be no reason to be depressed or discouraged because the events and people that produce depression and cause discouragement would have been done away with, or compensated for by the new found ability to put things in order.

There would be no rushing. There would be no catching up. There would be no searching for things that have been misplaced. There would be no repairing what has been messed up by inefficiency. There would be no waste. There would be no missed appointments. There would be no rushing to make appointments. There would be no arguments with your spouse or your children or your parents or coworkers. Everything would be in perfect sync.

After this brief bit of daydreaming, there is good news and bad news.

The bad news: there is no computer software program that will put my life in perfect sync (not even a Mac).

The good news: One day everything will be in perfect. ~From my friend, Tom Norvell

I might add that with the day of perfection a very real assurance, we would also find that managing life in this world a little easier if we set our priorities in order. The time-tested acronym J.O.Y. will help us prioritize.
J. = JESUS,
O. = OTHERS &
Y. = yourself.

Allow your day to be in sync by taking a moment to reflect on what Jesus has done for you. Then, think about what all the “Others” mean to your life. Finally, close the day by thinking about YOU; how blessed you are to have those first two in your life.

Meant To - Didn't Do (Thanks To Tom Moore)

Mr. Meant To has a comrade,
And his name is Didn't Do;
Have you ever chanced to meet them?
Did they ever call on you?
These two fellows live together
In the house of Never Win;
And I'm told that it is haunted
By the ghost of Might Have Been. [author unknown]

We need to take advantage of our opportunities. We need to be working hard in the kingdom. How many people need the gospel? How many people need a word of encouragement? How many good things did we mean to do yesterday?

Paul said, “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time” (Col. 4:5). We must take advantage of our opportunities. Jesus “went about doing good” {Acts 10:38}, and Paul said, “Have this mind in you” (Phil. 2:4). Thus, we need to be going about doing good, and rid ourselves of Mr. Meant To and Mr. Didn't Do.

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord” {1 Cor. 15:58}.

Food for thought to put into action. Have a wonderful day!

Where there is faith, there is love.
Where there is love, there is peace.
Where there is peace, there is God.
Where there is God, there is no need.

Only God in the flesh could gain victory over death.
Jesus, the only perfect life in the flesh, sacrificed Himself
so that you and I might have life everlasting.
Dwell on this miracle at Easter if you will, but
live with that reality every single day of your life.

If we really believe that Jesus was born, that He died and
that He rose again in glory, we will choose to be His followers.

Consider whether His death was in vain on your behalf.

Thank you God for paying the price of my sinful condition.

WHO IS HE?

HE IS JESUS

IN CHEMISTRY, HE TURNED WATER TO WINE.
IN BIOLOGY, HE WAS BORN WITHOUT THE NORMAL CONCEPTION;
IN PHYSICS, HE DISAPPROVED THE LAW OF GRAVITY WHEN HE ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN;

IN ECONOMICS, HE DISAPPROVED THE LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURN BY FEEDING
5000 WITH TWO FISHES & 5 LOAVES OF BREAD;

IN MEDICINE, HE CURED THE SICK AND THE BLIND WITHOUT ADMINISTERING A
SINGLE DOSE OF notallowed,

IN HISTORY, HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END;

IN GOVERNMENT, HE SAID THAT HE SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR,

PRINCE OF PEACE; IN RELIGION, HE SAID NO ONE COMES TO
THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM; SO.WHO IS HE? HE IS JESUS!

IN GOD I'VE FOUND EVERYTHING!

The Greatest Man in History.

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.
Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.
He had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.
He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.
He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.
I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!
Jesus said ... "If you deny me before man, I will deny you before my Father in Heaven. ~Thanks to my sister Susan for sending this my way.

Tip for the day: "We benefit eternally by God's being just what He is."

Make a glorious day,

Mike
