Hi Linda, thank's for the info on the book I will look it up.
I read countless things during the day. Most I end up
skimming because it is so much ado about nothing.

I had made a promise to myself to never promote
anything that I was not successful in. This limits
the online activity because there are programs
that can make a few dollars and then they are
gone.

The problem I had was that I became succesful
in some programs but I was the exception and
an average person could not make money with
it without going through a steep learning curve.

Some poeple just don't have the determination
to do this and I ran up against the 5 percent
problem. 5 percent of the people you sign up
will make money and the other 95 percent
will never make any money with it.

I stepped back after learning this because I
don't want to be responsible for someone
who has trouble paying the rent to loose
thier precious resorces.

So I stepped back again. The internet
changes so quickly that there are going
to be some that loose no matter what
you do. I come from a strict moral
background and I can never compromise
my integrity this way. This became a
big dilemna for me, and I am regrouping
and rethinking my online business activities.

I don't have the answer yet, but I will.
In the meantime, I promote only free
to join programs and use them for
teaching rather than making money.

They all have the "upgrade option"
and people who make this decision
have to take responsibility for this.
I try to take out the risk, but in
business, there is always risk.

In some cases, I took my own money
that I use to pay bills and have given
refunds for the people that followed
my advice and still did not succeed.

You can go broke in a hurry doing this
but I would rather be sure I have
acted on a responsible manner.

I also only refund to those who have
shown me they gave it the required
effort. I am just sqeeking by myself
because of payment processor issues
and those inscrupulous people that
run them.

Hello Linda,

You've raised an interesting point in this forum.  When you ask

Because, when we tell people to sign up for things that have not paid our own bills, are we thinking of the greater good of the others? Or are we ruled by desperation? When we join programs that say we don't have to learn anything, are we thinking of others, or ruled by our fears? After all, aren't we here on Earth to learn?

The book sounds great and like all women who have had to bring up their kids alone - she has a big cheer from me!  But the other question, why do people promote the programs that they promote?  Thumbs up to your belief that we are here on this Earth to learn.  We should all be learning and then sharing our knowledge for the greater good.

If a problem shared is a problem halved, then learning shared is learning doubled or tripled.  Share the good things you learn with others and dont try to make a quick buck passing on a mistake you made, to try and cover your losses.  That way life gets bigger and better for everyone!

Just a few thoughts
Love
Jenny
