A most excellent story and one I have shared with my kids several times. To me it is a great example of how we can become closed mind and blinded by preconcieved ideas. Had the man been open- minded and willing to think along lateral lines he would have seen the path to her freedom. Many Rainbows in Life come disguised as dark clouds.

HI Bogdan, What a wonderful story! I am not sure we can refer to this as "luck" though! This is life really. God helps us learn as children about how we are suppose to live our lives according to his word! He gives us the knowlege to know right from wrong, and He gives us our minds, with the freedom to choose which path in life we will follow! So, with the knowledge we have, and the freedom of choice, we as people must decide everyday what path will we follow when we have a decision that is to be made. It is not "good luck" if we choose to decide to go in the direction of the way which we know to be right, or "bad luck" if we follow the path we know to be the wrong way! Of course there is also the influencing power of Satan that is involved as well! Are you going to let him persuade you? In the story you spoke of the man, he was given choices each time, and he chose the wrong path. He could not see that God was giving him the chance to survive! Thus comes the POWER OF KNOWLEDGE!
