Hi Bill!

Thanks for the alert.  I am quite surprised as Lisa is one of my friends here @ AdLand.  I am not on her mailing list.......but this is disturbing.

Could you tell me how you learned that she was going to sell her list?

Curious.........

Hi Bill!

Thanks for the alert.  I am quite surprised as Lisa is one of my friends here @ AdLand.  I am not on her mailing list.......but this is disturbing.

Could you tell me how you learned that she was going to sell her list?

Curious.........

As I said in the update post  Lisa says she is not selling her personal warm list of friends and colleagues

quote"

I think you're confused.
What I am selling is my own collection of bizop optin leads.
Those are addresses of those who have opted in to various
websites on the web that I am affiliated with, for the sole purpose
of capturing leads.
I would never sell my personal warm list of friends and colleagues.

In answer to your question of how I know because of this email I received.with the subject  "One time offer"

I have decided to let you in on a good thing.
Something that helps me, and I know it will help you.

What is it? It's better than gold.
It's my own personal, private database of 10 million
professionally cleaned leads.

These leads have been cleaned of all anti spammers,
spamtraps, and know problems. They are all valid.
They even have codes in their fields so you can
use a tag in your email that calls up that lea.d's
info, since when you get complaints forwarded
to you, they usually leave out their email.
This way you can see who complained and remove them.

I will also give you my entire list of removes.

This list was cleaned from a huge list of 40 million.

I will sell this list to you for a fair price,
I will only sell it TWICE more, so it's not cheap.

You will notice that she is including in the package those that were removed

Quote" I will also give you my entire list of removes. "Unquote

If they have requested to be removed then they should definatly not be sold.

I know not everyone is going to agree with my point of view. and many may be wondering why I am posting this. So let me explain.

I have opted into lists and still do  but I am opting in for information on that product and I am not agreeing to have my email address sold. If I see a section in the sign up process saying check the areas you are interested in then I do not check any of the boxes and if it tells me I have not selected anything and takes me back to that page I stop right there and do not complete the sign up,  as I then know they will sell your emails.

Now if you get just a few spam mails a day you can just delete them, I fully agree. But when you are getting around 500 emails a day of which less than 30 a day are emails you actually want and the rest are asking you if you want a bigger D**k pedaling  viagra, telling you you need to lose weight, offering replica watches, and all the rest of the crap and garbage then it is out of hand.

Who is to say that the emails Lisa sells are not going to be sold  over and over and over again by the purchaser. There is absolutely nothing to stop these emails falling into the hands of spammers.

So I may be Quote" a bitter Jerk "Unqote As I was called in the reply I got to my last reply but with Good reason. I have two choices as I see it. I can spend about two months going through everything and changing my email addresses AGAIN or I can continue to fight the spammers and report them. It takes me no extra time to report as I use mailwasherpro and just check a box that makes the email for deleting and reporting at the same time.

Why 2 months. Because first I will have to go and change my email address at the various places that I want email from, notify friends etc, Then wait and see that there are no emails coming in that I should have changed but missed. It needs a two month change over period as some things only come in once a month. Once thats done I can delete my current mail boxes and having anything that comes in for them go to my catch all address which is auto cleaned. every hour.

People say spam costs you nothing. Well sorry but it does cost you and it can be very expensive. Each email uses bandwidth and bandwidth is not free. The time you spend deleting it is taking you away from time that could have been spent on productive work. Time that could have helped you earn some money.

Replies are welcome.
