Reality and Belief

Something is there, something real
It is the way I feel
It's no fairly tale
How I came out of the weeping and wail.

"I ask for relief" I said
The pain was so intense
What I got was belief instead
The implications were imense.

God did not take the pain away
I waited for the answer
I said; "God it would be nice today
If I could avoid this disaster".

In fact my pain got worse
Just for a little while
As if I was destined for a hearse
I lost the ability to smile.

I could not go on this way
worse than I could stand every day
And pass out from the pain every night
It just did not seem right.

I learned something I thought was small
He spoke so silently
As if He didn't speak at all
But I strained to hear every way.

He said "there is a reason
for the pain you feel
My children need something real
It will only go on for a season".

A few weeks and the pain lessened
As I explained to my friends
I realised that there was a lesson
For me and my friend.

Hi AnnaMarie. It is easier for non english to read when I write without
the modern slang words. I found that I understand Spanish for example
when it is Classic Spanish and not the modern version with all the
made up words of the day.

Thank you Deborah. When I start out writing a poem, I have a
completely different idea what I want to write, and then for
some reason it starts to change and turn into a completely
different subject.

I never know myself how it is going to turn out.
