I'm back.

The phone company found alot of us in this neighborhood and others with the same problem.

The cause:  Fiber optics meltdown. The station for this area experienced a meltdown, the term used by the tech I spoke to. A few boards and fiber cables had to be replaced.

Isn't technology just great?
