My name is Jackie, I want to thank Marilyn Ali for nominating me for the *Parade of Stars*. I am excited to give you my biography.

I was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. I was in special education from the 1st grade to 12th grade. In those days they classified all children with handicaps as retarded and put them in one area. No one knew I was handicapped in school because I was borderline and took some main stream classes such as basic math, music, etc.

I took piano lessons from 9-20 yrs old. I played classical, country gospel etc. That is the joy of my life is music. In the 10th grade our choir got together with other choirs around the 4 school district and sang under the band director of the Beach Boys and sang all their melodys.

In the 12th grade I did some traveling to NYC, NY and Philadelphia for special ed convention on how we function in every daily life routines. Talking in behalf of special needs children, I call it now, back then it's classified as retarded, which I despised the word.

In 1987 I worked for a major caferteria in KC, MO called Myron Greens. I was a catering person who delivered catering to Coorperates such as AT&T, Sprint and others. When AT&T change to SBC Global they threw a surpise going away party for me being the best catering co-ordinator. I left that job in December of '87 to J.C. Penney work in recieving then the department floor being a stock clerk. Left there in 1991 and went to work at Wal-mart help open the store in Overland Park KS, had fun helping setting up the store and working there. Left there in 1994 for a telemarketing job which didn't work out, went to a business school and graduated top of my class.

I drove a special needs bus. With autistic chidlren. I learned the meaning of patience and treating them with kindness and respect,something that all of us need to learn. No one should be judged by their color or race or handicaps. Which by the way we all have disabilities of some kind. There is a certian disability; I want to clear up somethings about what you heard on Bipolar. It is genetic and it can be trauma too. Because I know I have both as our community knows about me I am not proud to tell. I want to help people.And I know I have room for improvement.

About my homelife, I have a family of 3 and in the proccess of building a home but not sure of what type yet. On a land of 9 1/2 acres of land. We have the drive built and some of landscaping done. It's located in a little town called Tonganoxie, located between Kansas City and Lawerence Ks.

My son and I keep busy, I am a PTA Mom, take him to boxing and boyscouts. I like playing the piano, surfing the net, playing games on the net, meeting new business friends. Sharing tips. I've been in network marketing over 9 1/2 yrs. Everything I tried hasn't worked out but not giving up on my dreams.
