Your poetry is fantastic and you are one of the voices of common sense here.  I'm glad you and your father repaired the relationship, sometimes when parents are young they don't realize that the kids will become adults someday soon.  They react from their current stress and unfortunately the kids are an easy target.  At least both of you had the guts to move forward and rebuild.
