Thank's for the laughs Marion. When I see my GP , the hardest part of getting to see the dr. is to get through the front desk. The receptionist and the nurse in charge have an average IQ of a garden slug.
They often think that they are the doctor and give you a diagnosis. Of course this is very frustrating. One day they told me that the doctor did not treat the condition that they thought I had and they told me they had to cancel the visit.
She had hit on one of the only things that can cause me to loose my temper- a person that thinks they know something and being wrong, affecting my life directly and threataning my very life over it.
I use the techniqe in the joke. It works, and instead of getting angry, I get a good laugh out of it. The doctor is my friend and we often share the humor making fun of the front desk people.
I wonder how many other friends at Adland have had this experience.
