Friends
Come and walk with me a while We will laugh and we will cry and we will smile for a little while.
We will watch the clouds to see If we could perhaps touch someting Within ourselves that has meaning.
I thought it was a man But you saw something else In the clouds we were watching.
We would perhaps imagine that The world was a nicer place And that it was a dove flying gently in grace.
I will tell you my problems And you will tell me yours And lament the things we lost.
We would understand each others grief And wipe the tears from each other's eyes And then once again turn our gaze to the skys.
Never forget the fact there is one who cares. About how you feel and how you do And lends a hand to help you when you hurt.
We are friends you and I We connected at a level there never was And we will never stop watching the sky.
