I could not agree with you more Joyce. Thanks for coming back with that.

"Mom working in and out of the home and Dad sitting in front of the tube waiting for dinner-gets passed on to the next generation."

Perfect example of what should not happen...

Good point Joyce!

Now, I am not trying to be a sexist pig here....nor am I saying that women can't do things that a man can do.  Women have proved for years that they can do most anything a man can do.....and they do it quite well might I add.

However, I do not feel that we as humans are living our lives according to God's design.

I believe that women, being the nurturing type.....emotional towers of strength (if you will)....were meant to be @ home taking care of things there.  While men, being God-given beings of physical strength - were meant to be the workers who go out and provide for the women and children @ home.

Like I said, it just seems to me that is what God had in mind.  I don't think men were mean to be stay-at-home dads - nor do I think women were meant to be construction workers.  We all have our own purpose and God given talents and strengths.  It is a slap to God's face to not use what he has given us already.

My 2 cents.......

~ Drummerboy Keep on thinking positive…..thank God for everything that’s good in your life……..and make it a great week!

I wholeheartledly agree!
My mom was a single working parent and did everything she could so that I would be in a position to stay home and raise my kids since she didn't have that luxury.
Now my generation of women (without asking me, by the way) decided to go out in droves to the workforce.
I was one of those looked down on for not working outside the home when my kids were small.  OYE VAY!

In the end, it is up to each set of parents to work out the best situation for the family unit and really put the kids first. Even/Especially if that means doing without the junk that passes for necessity these days.

Just an old fogey speaking here.

Great discussion, Brian thanks for the workout.

Both parents need to share equally. This way there is not a burden on just one parent and less stress in the family.
