I agree that the media are a huge problem. The days of objectivity are gone. The news is reported based on someone's agenda, not for public awareness.

However, I maintain that the current administration are a bunch of idiots, and that GWB is failing miserably. He is a putz! I did not vote for him ever!

He is a president that cares more about money than the earth we live on. We have not made any progress in Iraq; people are still being killed daily, and we are no closer to getting out of there than we were the day we landed on their soil.

And what's up with North Korea? Now they've got an itch to scratch in the name of nuclear wepons and a hard-on for the US. What has he done about that?

I voted for Clinton both times, and would've done it a third if it were possible. He was a damn good president. I agree with you whole-heartedly on that one.

Regan manipulated his way into the White House. Trading arms for hostages. I remember that well. I was in high school at the time, and did several papers on the subject for my political science class. Carter was set up to fail so that Regan would look like a hero. Another political agenda.

Anywho... Clinton should not be made the scapegoat for the current state of affairs in this world.

Without further adding any of my personal opinions to this discussion at this time, I would like to draw everyone's attention to the following article, Hanssen Case: A Trifle Compared to Clinton-China Connection It must also be noted here that information available in the US from US news sources often offers only a very small part of the big picture. For example, in a recent tragic accident in Afghanistan where the Canadian troops were attacked by US air fire, it was not even known about in the US until it had already been well reported in other countries around the globe. (Note: I am not condemning anyone for the accident - such accidents are unfortunate, but are something that happens in the heat of battle.) My point here is that you need to do some serious digging to confirm the "facts" before you can be anywhere near sure they are accurate. The US news services, alone, are simply not a reliable enough source, just as news sources from any one country are not necessarily enough to uncover the truth. I am neither condemning Clinton, nor exhonerating Bush; I am simply trying to show that you can't sling mud at one without finding the other buried under the same mud already. God bless, Dave
