Hi Jim, While I thank you for your very kind comments about agreeing with me about Clinton, I stronlgly doubt you are going to continue to agree with me as you are in error about the Iraq war. The facts are, our actions in removing Saddam's regime from power and freeing the people of Iraq are fully justified and a very necessary part of our war on terror. And, anyone who does not agree with the above is EITHER ignorant of sufficient facts, OR they are just too dumb to be able to understand the facts! For years now, there has been more than sufficient proof our actions in Iraq are correct. And now, with all of the captured Iraqi documents, Computer files, hard disks, video/audio tapes, other media and the testimony of former high ranking Iraq officials, there is even MUCH MORE PROOF than there was! So people can either be like the idiots who deny the facts proving the world is not flat & deny the facts proving them wrong about Iraq, OR they can learn the facts. Which one are you going to be Jim? A person who learns the facts? Or one who denys they exist? Here is ONE thread in the forum and it lists just SOME of the PROVEN reasons our war in Iraq is correct. Read it and get the facts. http://community.adlandpro.com/forums/thread/388286.aspx My forum has up-dated information on Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Iran and the Middle East. There is already LOT of information in it now and there will be more. http://community.adlandpro.com/forumShow.aspx?ForumID=10649 Please, Take Care! Neil

Hey Leonard, here's a little news piece for ya.

Clinton raises $7.3 bln to help tackle world woes

By Michelle Nichols

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Bill Clinton wrapped up his second annual brainstorming summit on Friday with commitments worth $7.3 billion to combat illness, poverty, religious and ethnic conflict and climate change.

The 215 commitments secured during the three-day Clinton Global Initiative in New York were headlined by British billionaire Richard Branson's pledge on Thursday to spend an estimated $3 billion over 10 years fighting global warming.

While the 2006 initiative secured less than the 300 or so commitments made during the inaugural event last year, the value of this year's pledges almost tripled the $2.5 billion achieved in 2005.

"What Richard Branson did here is wonderful, but you don't need $3 billion to replicate it," Clinton told the summit, adding the aim of the initiative was simply to "create a piece of common ground in a highly contentious world."

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, chief executive of News Corp. also reminded people that commitments to tackle the world's woes did not need to involve a big monetary donation.

"We can do many, many things -- they're not multibillion dollar things -- but maybe they're more valuable," Murdoch said at the event.

Among the pledges made was a commitment to create a green fund expected to raise up to $1 billion and to be managed by former World Bank President James Wolfensohn to support investments in renewable energy.

Microfinance nonprofit Opportunity International pledged to provide $500 million in loans, savings, insurance, and training to help 50 million people work their way out of poverty around the world.   Continued...

More Clinton Facts:

1998:  On December 19, Clinton is impeached by the House of Representatives on the grounds of perjury, abuse of powers, and obstruction of justice regarding matters related to his affair with White House aide Monica Lewinsky.

Number of U.S. households that chose watching professional wrestling over the president's televised apology in August: 6,379,000. --Harper's Index, November 1998

1999:     In February, in a Senate vote basically along party lines, Clinton is spared impeachment.

In conjunction with a Republican-controlled Congress, Clinton balances the U.S. federal budget for the first time since 1969.

"Whether you like him or not like him, this is one of the great, get up, political fighters of all time." --Dan Rather to Geraldo Rivera on CNBC's Rivera Live, July 8, 1999

"The light may be fading on the 20th century, but the sun is still rising on America." --President Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan International Trade facility, December 31, 1999

2000:      After protracted political wrangling by Clinton, China is accepted into the World Trade Organization, opening that vast market to goods from the U.S. and around the world.

NEW YORK - In a combative interview on "Fox News Sunday," former President Clinton defended his handling of the threat posed by Osama bin Laden, saying he tried to have bin Laden killed and was attacked for his efforts by the same people who now criticize him for not doing enough. "That's the difference in me and some, including all of the right-wingers who are attacking me now," Clinton said in the interview. "They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try, they did not try." Clinton accused host Chris Wallace of a "conservative hit job" and asked: "I want to know how many people in the Bush administration you asked, 'Why didn't you do anything about the Cole?' I want to know how many people you asked, 'Why did you fire Dick Clarke?'" Clinton was referring to the USS Cole, attacked by Al Qaida terrorists in Yemen in 2000, and former White House anti-terrorism chief Richard A. Clarke. Wallace said Sunday he was surprised by Clinton's "conspiratorial view" of "a very non-confrontational question, 'Did you do enough to connect the dots and go after Al Qaida?"' (Neil Sez: Leave up to some IDIOT reporter to say it was a "non-confrontational question".) "All I did was ask him a question, and I think it was a legitimate news question. I was surprised that he would conjure up this was a hit job," Wallace said in a telephone interview. Clinton said he "worked hard" to try to kill bin Laden. "We contracted with people to kill him. I got closer to killing him than anybody's gotten since," he said. He told Wallace, "And you got that little smirk on your face and you think you're so clever, but I had responsibility for trying to protect this country. I tried and I failed to get bin Laden. I regret it, but I did try and I did everything I thought I responsibly could." The interview was taped Friday during Clinton's three-day Global Initiative conference. ------------------------------ Neil further Sez: During the "60 Minutes" interviews of Condi Rice and the President of Pakistan tonight, I sometimes think there must be some special school where they send reporters to learn how to ask really stupid questions. AND: As most know, I very strong support our war in Iraq. I stronly support Bush in his efforts to fight the terrorists and in helping those people who wish to bring democracy to their countries. STILL, THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH! UNTIL after 9-11 happened, the Bush administration DID NOT take bin laden & Al Quida seriously at all. The DOWN graded the importance of them and the danger they presented to the US. -------------- NOW, BE SCARED, VERY SCARED! I HAVE JUST RECEIVED INFORMATION THAT THERE MAY BE A AL QUIDA ATTACK ON BETWEEN 7 AND 10 AMERICAN CITIES WITHIN THE NEXT TEN DAYS! NEW YORK AND WASHINGTON DC FOR SURE! IF THESE ATTACKS HAPPEN, MANY MILLONS OF US WILL DIE RIGHT AWAY AND MILLIONS MORE AS TIME GOES ON! THEY ARE GOING TO USE "SUITCASE NUKES!" I WILL BE POSTING INFORMATION ON IT IN MY FORUM.
