This one caught me by suprise, Bogden. I will have to go and read my Thoreeau books again.
I was taking life one step at a time and somethimes one hour at a time. I realised I had it all wrong. We must cherish life this very moment of time, for it is most precious.
Life does not consist of consecutive moments, but we exist in the eternal now. In all the earth, only man counts the moments.
This also reminds me of a Joke I heard years ago:
The Optimist
A little boy was in a room and was standing waist deep in horse manure. The boy exclaimed as he made his way across the room "With all this manure, there has to be a pony in here somewhere! "
