Michael, you are SOMETHING! That really was the story of your life, warts and all. I went to catholic school, luckily not so far back in the dark ages but I remember the pressure put on parents to give more money on Sundays than they could afford, in addition to paying school tuition, and all the boys had to be altar boys or else, and all the girls had to stand in line once a month so the nuns could make sure no one's knees were showing below the hems of our uniforms as we were getting taller or our moms would have to let the hems down. All the students HAD to buy snacks and drinks during recess to support the nuns, I guess.
I think a strong dislike of children may be a pre-requisite to being allowed to teach or be in a power position at catholic schools. I did want to become a nun for a few years but gradually changed my mind when I realized I'd have to hang around with other nuns all the time.
I really enjoy all your little graphics, and you have been a solid caring partner for your wife. Congratulations and enjoy your week, you'll be busy here!
