Hello kathy,  This reminds me of how I used to walk for hours after school or ride my bike. The upper Delaware valley was a place I dwelled in nature and it nurtured my soul. It taught me its way how the birds sing all day even while they worked. How the whitetail deer were calm and collective but constantly aware of everything around them. How porcupines walked seemingly without care, cross its path, only over curious would dare. A black bear seems to roll when it strolls you should take notice its' either coming or going and you should be going. When you sneak up on a woodchuck and startle it, it stands on hind legs and chatters its teeth and makes wierd noices. If the tall grass is moveing and theres' no wind and no other sounds, you may smell cucumbers but stay clear or you may not hear the strike before the rattle. A rabbit will freeze in its spot but squeel when stepped on-scare the jebeepers out of ya to. if you set long enough and quiet enough, Nature is load enough.. Turn down lifes volume and listen close enough... Its something I miss and now don't do enough....

Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over

I needed this one Kathy, Just before i go put my 14 hr day in Thanks

This reminds me of a song a few years ago:

I'm in a hurry to get things done
I work and work until life's no fun.

Good poem Kathy.

Hi Kathyand Friends

Thanks for the invitation to this Kathy. The poem was great and so true. Life does have a tendency to pass by quickly. This seems especially true when I think about my childen. I can never believe they are as old as they are. LOL

Running will always get you somewhere quicker than walking. Unfortunately, this includes your journey from birth to death.
