Indeed that is sad. This person obviously has a kind heart and some slime, as you call them, was taking advantage of that. Unfortunately, slime is everywhere and they will use every trick in the book to weasel money out of people. Often it is people who can ill afford the money in the first place.

Good on you Joyce for helping your friend to see what they were doing.

You need to put a www at the front of your website in your Adland contact. I tried to look at your website and it was unavailable. On checking the address I saw that you inadvertently missed the www prefix to make it active.
