Hi Cheri,

With consideration being given to funding online business development, congressional members are being lobbied to put in a proviso as a pre-requisite to anyone receiving grant money, that they complete an accredited online training course, rather than arbitrarily handing out grants.

Thanks for the questions. I changed the word 'candidate' to 'recipient'. I can see where that could be confused.

Hi Kathy,

That is very well said too. The only people who would take issue with this forum thread are those who maybe guilty of spamming. Again, novices may not undersatnd exactly what the implications and sometimes consequences are of sending unsolicited advertising.

In some success oriented and user friendly communities like EFS (see link below), the system is designed to detect spam immediately and restrict the spammers account which takes care of the problem immediately.

Again, at ALP we are supposed to be here for each others general wellfare and support. Does everyone agree? That is why 'The Science of Advertising forum was created in the first place, to help everyone learn the concepts needed to be effective and succeed.

Thanks for writing Kathy,

dear mark, dear kathy,

this has been become a true, disturbing factor here on adland.
when i first came to adlandpro a few days ago, i was really excited about many friendship invitations. after i open my email account i wasn´t amused anymore, because many invitations where spam. there was no hello, no introdutions but plenty of advertisings inside. i deletet them all and i asked myself the question if this was the right place for interesting communications, sharing ideas and plenty more.

well, i decided to stay and communicate or accept invitations from members with right attitudes only.

anyway. things must change here for the future.

i wish you all a great weekend and lots of success.

regards
claudio

Hello Claudio, As all who read this forum can see by your response from across the sea you are in agreement. Online etiquette is important to success globally. That is why I refer people to where they can get help and training if they are so inclined to invest in themselves and their own success, and it's right here at no cost at AdlandPro. Make it a great day! Mark

Claudio,

Think of Adland as a medium-sized town.  If the first people you meet on entering the town are erudite, cosmopolitan and have elegant manners, you would conclude that it is a very pleasant town.  You might settle down, and later on might discover that there are some less-pleasant folks who also live there.  But as long as you can ignore them you are still able to enjoy your new friends and converse with them.

On the other hand, if the first people you meet are all street beggars, asking you for a handout or offering cheap, worthless merchandise, you might conclude that this is not a place to stay, thereby missing the friendship and opportunities for sharing conversation and ideas with the others you would never meet.

I hope you'll stay a while and meet the positive and friendly people who do live here.  I'm going to invite you to be my friend.  If you'd like, I can introduce you to quite a few of the better conversationalists in town.
