Hi Mary,

About ten years ago my husband and I put in a Japanese garden complete with two fish ponds and waterfalls. It surrounds our brick patio and we get so much enjoyment out of listening to the water and watching the Koi swim about.

It is our little oasis, where we go to read and have a little peace and quiet.

Hi Mary, I allways grow a vegetable garden when ever I get the oppurtunity.  We all have a big composting barrel around these flats I live in, and just today I went for a stroll up the hill to gather some pine needles to add to the compost.
Companion planting is a worthwhile study too, so to maximise the productivity of the garden. I rekon everyone ought to grow veges, as well l!!

Hi Leanne,

Thank you for your information.  Yes, you get the "most bang for your money" so to speak with geraniums. The large flower and constant blooming put a lot of color in the garden.

For those who suffer thru winter, geraniums in the house still evoke hope.  My mother would bring them into the house, put them in a left over tin can and place them on the window sill. She could ignore them and I always wondered why they were so forgiving and still bloomed.

Plants must teach us some lessons of life.

China,

This is a beautiful forum to introduce you  to you all my friends.  And you brought beautiful garden supplies.  We all want to know more about what you have to offer.

Please do come back often and share your ideas. You have a gift of words which all will learn to appreciate here in the garden.

Max of the Desert,

The nice thing about plants is that they are so forgiving.  They won't care if you are successful in your business or not.  So it is my friend, we people should have the same characteristics. You can have lots of green plants or lots of green in your billfold ...if you don't I can still call you brother.

I can accept you poor or rich. However, when I arrive at the airport, you had better have a limo waiting for me with a fresh garden salad all ready for me. For those listening in here----I am going to Vegas and Max will be my host. hehe--he

Do you know why I like you?  You read my forums.  You don't run by, stop for a minute, you actually stay and visit.  That is what a garden is all about.  A place to relax your soul and spirt....  Commune with  God, nature and our fellow mankind.
