In these posts, it brings out the fact that we need to find something that helps, whether it is therapy, nutrittion or vitamins or antioxidants, they all need to be investigated. If you won't let them know of what is available, what good is this post? Nan

Doing your excercises.. :) That was the most fun part of it all. I was working a full time job, excercising by participating in different physical activities like: Playing Ping Pong (table tennis?). Running, jumping, throwing spears, metal balls and discus. Has a name, but I can't remember it at the moment. Having to quit one thing after the other because it hurts too much, while at the same time being told to excercise more was a weird experience. The result from training earlier was that I got way worse and found myself needing much more help than I was willing to accept. I have found a solution to this problem now though. Drinking Aloe Vera lets me excercise without worrying about the extra pain that usually came the day after. Still have to deal with the pain I get when training, but it is motivating to know that I won't get the extra.

Its primary symptom is severe ache and muscle pain that makes any type of physical activity very painful. More than 5 million Americans suffer from of FMS in the USA, but the number of cases may be higher because the condition is difficult to diagnose. Approximately 80 to 90 percent of FMS sufferers are women. - - - - - - - - - - - - Back to Top - - - - - - - - - - - - Possible Causes of Fibromyalgia Syndrome Fibromyalgia develops over a long period of time with symptoms that vary widely from person to person. The wide range of symptoms make FMS difficult to diagnose. FMS is more common in females than males. The specific cause of the condition is not known; however, it appears that a number of different factors may contribute to the development of the disorder. Some research indicates that children who have grown up in an environment of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and alcoholism may be more susceptible to the condition. FMS may also be related to the following conditions: # allergies # generalized anxiety disorder # bruxism # chronic fatigue # depression # dizziness # headaches # Irritable Bowel Syndrome # jaw irritation # lack of concentration # light sensitivity # menstrual cramping and pain # restless leg syndrome # skin sensitivity # sleep disorder alpha-EEG anomaly # sleep apnea # sleep myoclonus (muscle contractions while sleeping) - - - - - - - - - - - - Back to Top - - - - - - - - - - - - Possible Symptoms of Fibromyalgia Syndrome The symptoms of FMS include severe muscle pain, fatigue, chest pain, low-grade fever, swollen lymph nodes, insomnia, insomnia, frequent abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome and depression. Fibromyalgia is differentiated from other conditions by the existence of 18 tender spots where the muscles are abnormally tender to any touch. These 18 points are located around: # the lower vertebra of the neck # the insertion of the second rib # the upper part of the thigh # the middle of the knee joint # the neck, mid back, and upper back muscles # the muscles connected to the back base of the skull # the upper and outer muscles of the buttocks # the side of the elbow - - - - - - - - - - - - Back to Top - - - - - - - - - - - - Possible Lifestyle Changes for Fibromyalgia Syndrome Low-intensity exercise may improve FMS symptoms. Patients who exercise regularly report fewer symptoms than those who do not exercise. Reduce stress and drink plenty of water.
