Most of what we eat' is not good because some consists of (Fat) which the body needs! we get over weight. But there is good fat like in peanuts which have oils that are good too (and that goes for non-meat eaters as well) with having that said, we cannot stop the natural way of the differant types foods being processed for our consumption. we do have a choice though?, Diet or no Diet? i prefer a Diet (much healthier). But the point is, is it essential to the human life , we all have habbits! not all of them good but we have them. It's what we do as people to control one self, because the fact is that the governement is more conserned about cutting costs and raising taxes. Lets stop the drug traffic that faces this great nation of ours, there are plenty patition on that subject! and who knows i may be wrong? im only human. My opinion.

Hello Thomas, You have said it all. This is perfect. Unfortunately, we all have habits, and some are bad habits that people love too much to give up. However, if we could look ahead at how we will suffer, we might give it a second thought. Kindest regards, Luella May and John Elliott, aka Oaky Wood

It is wonderful to read everyone' opinions on living a healthier life and keeping the prescriptions as far away as possible.  I too have found over the years that nature truly has provided us humans and animals alike much of what we need to live a healthier life.  It is up to us, however, to do our research.  We all know that labels reading is great, but take it a step further and understand what the label is really saying.  How many read labels, yet do not know what most of the  words really mean.  There are many, many ways to handle many, many health concerns.

I personally want to be healthy and active not only for my 4 year old (I'm 44 now), but also for his children and I'll guarantee you that I have and will continue to do my homework.

I so appreciate everyone's words, as I learn so much.  Thank you everyone!

Hello Linda,

Thank you for your wonderful post.  You brought out a very important point.  The Labels.  It is not enough to go by The Labels.  One must take it upon themselves to do their own research so that they know what is truly good for them.  For the uninformed, The Labels can be deceiving.

Kindest regards,

Luella May and John Elliott, aka Oaky Wood

Thanks for posting the article. I had not heard that this was going on. How scary for all of us.
