Well, neither of us is what you might call a competitive runner, lol. You have a good point, and one that I think of when we do hand a stranger our camera. Fortunately, it isn't worth anywhere near $2000, but the real loss would be the pictures! If it weren't for that, the solution would be to use those one-time use cameras, now that one can get a disk with digital files of the photos.
I get very few pix of my husband, as he is in possession of the camera most of the time. Even if I did, he has strong objections to my posting them on the internet--he's a very private person who would be appalled at some of what I've revealed about us.
And, as I explained to Tim, those he takes of me aren't very flattering. It's notable that the one I think you referred to in your p.s. was taken by someone else! lol. Thank you, by the way.
It was lovely to see you here. Oh, I meant to tell you that the formation that reminded you of a submarine is known as the Cookie Jar. If you click on it and look at the enlarged version, you can see the little knob that lets you lift the lid... The other is just an accident of the angle and the shadow. As far as I know, it doesn't have a name.
