Hi Mary, I'm now a confirmed pop-up fan - as Cheri says - you can follow forums in real time! and she seems to even more enthusiastic than I am (thanks for your post Cheri, sending me here again!) However, after finding out that there are icons on private messages and on the Chat Room at Adland, I changed to Internet Explorer from Mozilla (which doesn't have them) - with a little help from Leon (thanks Leon) Adland runs at least twice as slowly on Internet Explorer than on Mozilla Firefox. Now I understand what some other people were complaining about. Why is this? or is this a question for Bodgan. It's very strange. Does anyone know

Hi Jenny, I see you didn't use any of the emoticons in the IE browser... why not? I have the same issue with the slowness of IE and I don't know why that is the case. Your browser stores a page in your cache (temp internet files). Every time you visit a site, the browser searches the cache for the page so it can display it quicker. If it doesn't work as fast as Firefox, then of course, it will be slower. Why it is... I cannot say. I will stay with Firefox. The emoticons are of little use to me since I don't like waiting on the page to load to use them. I guess that is another arguement for speed, huh? Peace, Leon

Here's my 2 cents. Even though they may be annoying to those that get annoyed, the forums are not just read by the members but by others. And to me it means exposure. I'm here to help and to market myself. So I see the popups as a plus to my business. I am not thinking of what pleases me by the eye. I am thinking of my income that feeds my family. If the popups help build my name by 'Name Branding' and create business for me I'm all for it. I see it as an added value from AdlandPro to exposure for me. Especially for those that are not in my circle of friends ... yet. __________ Kenneth R Sword Jr Co-CEO - Bizzy Blogz http://www.bizzyblogz.com Sponsor of the ABA Basketball 'Streetball' group "Nothing But Net Entertainment" http://www.bizzyblogz.com/NBNE/ New! Hi Again, I agree with Kenneth, if there's a chance of huge exposure everytime you post then this has to be a good thing, this is after-all why we are all here, it is ADLAND, you can't advertise if you are coy about exposure, I personally want as much exposure as possible! Leon and Jenny, This is also an interesting topic, Mozilla V Explorer? I use Mozilla because its faster! when I'm sending out Community notifications I use explorer because you get the extra formatting tools (never send out notifications on Adland using Mozilla, it is very bad on the eye!) I definately vote to keep the pop-ups, they are another amazing advertising tool that should be taken advantage of rather than judged as a nuisance!
