Hello Marilyn!
Written by a woman who's husband is in the service.
So True to Our Country
Soldiers in Iraq from a military wife’s view,
I can only speak for myself,
I can not speak for you.
God Bless that soldier, so brave and so proud,
So full of pride for their country,
They can be picked from a crowd.
Orders are given,
To Iraq they must go.
Without hesitation, lets the family know.
The news to the family is shocking,
Many may weep.
But as a military family,
You made a promise you must keep.
Back that brave soldier,
Stand by their side.
Stand in awe of their honor,
And speak often of your pride.
They are over there fighting for all to be free.
A lot of people think, “But how does that affect me?”
We are a strong healthy nation,
And our soldiers stand tall.
We demand respect and wish freedom, for one and for all.
Be proud of our soldiers,
They fight for a cause,
And when they return home,
Let them return to applause.
Send a prayer for the soldier who has given their life.
And may God watch over their husband or wife.

For All that you do!
