I heard the USA and Brunei are the only 2 countries where metric isn't mandatory. I remember they tried to teach it to us in school starting around 1975 but we didn't like it and our parents couldn't help us with it, so that's that! Schools still try to teach it but half-heartedly. Metric is only good when men tell women the length of their doodad in centimeters instead of inches, that's very impressive and raises eyebrows!
