Hi James, If you have both on and turn one of them off and you still can't get on, TURN off your computer and or restart it....THEN try to get going again. But make sure only one of them is running to see if this is the problem. I can usually run both, but some computers freeze when both are up and running or they have issues when both R open. Hope this helps a bit. Also go to tools, Then Internet Options and then clear your cookies and Temp. Internet pages... ========================================= Place a FREE AD on me: http://FreeAdTraffic.com FREE: Multiply Your Advertising Results By Thousands With Your Ad Listed On 5635+ Sites! Hi James Go to start---Settings----Control Panel---add remove programs--Find Yahoo Messanger and remove it. Go to start--programs- accessories--System tools----depending on the System software your using you can defrag your computer and run scandisk. Once you done this re boot and try Skype. To find your volume control go to start---Find-- type in volume it should show all files with volume in their name. You should be able to right click it and create a shortcut on your desk top. To find your hard dirve go to start---find-type in explore you should again be able to right click it and create a desk top short cut. Once you locate your volume control you can open it and make sure your mic is not turned off. Hope it helps. Johnny

Hi Craftie, Send James to this: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/protect/windowsxpsp2/Default.mspx And tell him to scan his computer for spyware and malware, he has been using those messengers and not watching what has been going on behind the scenes. Jerome Pfeifer Sr.
