If you own your own website and/or domain, you have a control panel, in there you are able to see the stats of who and when hits/visits. As far as a business that you promote an affilliate link for you can sometimes see it in the "back office". You can use an ad tracker such as http://www.adminder.com/go.cgi?id=aussie66 Ha ha..sliped it in. They track how many veiws your had has as well as how many clicks. I think the main thing here is that most of the online "entreprenors" LOL, believes from the first, and from all, sight that "it is simple as 1.2.3..." and one "only have to signe up and joine" and they'll "do the wotk for you"! Do you recognize some of these sentences? One may read kind of those all over the net. The only one thing they do not think of, is that they have to do some work tho. in orde to have some success (whatever the dimmension of it) It never cross their minds any corner that they should work on their success to earne the millions they are dreaming of. So Leanne, I'll maybe shooting you, because you shout too laud and you might weak up the dreamers! :-)
