As you think about how this business might work for you, I want to
encourage you to "think outside the box".
What I love about a business with Scent-Sations is that they do not
dictate how I must run my business. I do not have to meet any
specific company set mandates. I run it at a pace that works for
my family and in a way that works with my style.
I am not particularly interested in giving parties, but I recognize
the value of retailing the product because that is what brings in
immediate income. I have found that marketing to businesses
brings me a larger and more lucrative income. Here are a couple different
approaches.
1. Bring our new Simmer Pots to offices and either offer them for
FREE, or at wholesale cost. Then, sell them a few different bags of
Mia Melts ($9.95 for 8). You can then set the office up on a monthly
"auto ship" with a minimum of two bags, or whatever number the office
wanted.
This will bring you monthly income, AND because the scent warmers
work so well I can almost guarantee the employees will want them
for their homes.
2. Once you get the company hooked on the scent of our candles, you can
offer them cases of candles to give to their clients as "thank yous". A bit of
raffia wrapped around the jar and a business card that has
the company's info on the front and a little about the Mia Bella business on the back.
This is especially attractive around the holidays.
My team leader just sold a case of candles to a Realtor who wants to put a jar in each
of his houses during open house. Many of his homes are cabins that are
shut up throughout the winter and need that "extra" special scent.
